I grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia with my mom and dad and two younger brothers, Charlie and Phil. My parents grew up on working farms just a few miles apart! I spent much of my childhood exploring the 100 and 1,000 acre farm land! I learned how to tend our half acre garden and harvest the food. I love to catch fireflies, explore state parks and be near water. I attended West Virginia University in my hometown of Morgantown. I received a BS degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mentally Handicapped. I accepted my first teaching job in Jacksonville in 1988. I met the love of my life, Rick Pinchot, and we were married in August of 1989. Soon we will celebrate our 26th anniversary! We have three beautiful children, Morgan(22), Zach(21) and Noah(14) and two rescue cats, Tiger and Sarah. Over my 26 years in education, I have had the opportunity to be a teacher, literacy and math coach, and a trainer for teachers. I am beyond excited to begin a new journey this year at Seaside Community Charter School! |
